About Me

My photo
There are moments in time where our eyes are not used for sight, but to tell a story. Eyes can tell so much about a person: their journeys, heartaches, successes and thoughts within. From these instances, beautiful art is born. I have been an artist since I could hold a crayon. I really enjoy creating amazing pieces of art for people and seeing their smiling faces. I am able to create just about anything! I hope you enjoy my website and art. I create custom paintings and murals of all kinds. Feel free to contact me at eyecanseearts@gmail.com. I can't wait to create for you!

Meet Stepheni. She came to me wanting a very personal piece to depict a challenging journey in her life. She gave me full creative freedom and didn't want to see the finished piece until we were in person. She put all of her faith and trust in me to create a very emotional and empowering piece just for her. She was and still is very happy with this piece! Thank you, Stepheni, for giving me the opportunity to bring your journey to life.

Storm Blossoms

Storm Blossoms
16" x 20"
Acrylic on canvas

I adore black and white with a small splash of color! You will notice the 3-D affect of the flowers. This affect was achieved with a modeling paste being mixed into the acrylic paint. It dries raised and textured and it's just fun and beautiful.

Aqua Parade

Empowering Beauty

Empowering Beauty
24" x 30"
Acrylic on canvas

This 24" x 30" empowering beauty will be hanging at the Natural Beginnings Birth Center in Statesville where Raina was born almost two years ago. As women, we need to embrace our ability to birth babies naturally. We are stronger than we think we are and can accomplish anything that we set ourselves up to accomplish. Giving birth to a small life is beautiful, peaceful, enduring, strenuous, trying and most importantly EMPOWERING. I am so proud to have had the opportunity to give birth at Natural Beginnings. The staff is always smiling and always has open arms to help you, support you and encourage you. The midwives are exceptional women whose life's work is to empower women to birth outside of our current societal norm. They genuinely care for our well being as expectant mothers and have dedicated their lives to bringing new lives into this world. Thank you, ladies, for all that you do!

A Play on Trees

A Play on Trees
(4) 12" x 24"
Acrylic

This was a very exciting project for me. I decided to take to trying out a sort of henna design technique with acrylic paint. I loaded up a cake decorating bag with black acrylic and piped the design onto each canvas. I designed each tree to represent a play on each kind of tree, a willow tree, an evergreen/pine tree, an apple tree, and a palm tree. What a pleasant surprise and beautiful outcome! There will definitely be more of this technique in my future projects.

1969

1969: The Year of Love
24" x 36"
Acrylic

33 hours later and we have a 24" x 36" story of a couple who is celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary today! Ronald and Anne Marie eloped from Pennsylvania to North Carolina exactly 45 years ago today. Their only wedding photo was one where they were feeding each other their wedding cake. The original 1969 photo was 2" x 3" in size. Their son, David, came to me wanting to make this painting for his parents as a gift. David came up with this whole concept and it turned out great! I really enjoyed creating this!

Garden of Doubt: The Sequel

Garden of Doubt 2
(1) 16" x 20"
(2) 10" x 20"
Acrylic

My Dad wanted the original Garden of Doubt (pictured at the top), but wanted to add a twist to it. His only request was to have the apple that the hand was reaching for be red. In addition to the red apple, I also textured the piece differently than the first. This inevitably turned into my Dad's birthday present.

Tinker Bell

I painted this for my step mother Cindy for her birthday. She adores Tinker Bell!

I painted this beauty for my amazing friend Jessica for her 25th birthday this year. She has bugged me for a horse painting for 6 years and I finally broke down and painted this for her. She was happy I did.

Kynlee's Butterfly

18" x 24"
Acrylic

This mystical butterfly was created just for baby Kynlee's new bedroom. Her mom came to me seeking a personalized piece of art that would coordinate with her new bedroom theme of butterflies. I thoroughly enjoyed creating this piece and I hope Kynlee enjoys looking at it everyday for years to come!
