About Me

My photo
There are moments in time where our eyes are not used for sight, but to tell a story. Eyes can tell so much about a person: their journeys, heartaches, successes and thoughts within. From these instances, beautiful art is born. I have been an artist since I could hold a crayon. I really enjoy creating amazing pieces of art for people and seeing their smiling faces. I am able to create just about anything! I hope you enjoy my website and art. I create custom paintings and murals of all kinds. Feel free to contact me at eyecanseearts@gmail.com. I can't wait to create for you!

A Beautiful Mother

A Beautiful Mother
8"x10"
Acrylic

I painted this for a dear friend who lost her Mother over a year ago and this was her favorite picture of her. She came to me asking if I could bring her Mother's picture to life again. I very much enjoyed doing this. She is quite the beautiful woman, isn't she?

I painted this for my beautiful grandmother. She has battled cancer three times and stays positive and smiling. She is truly an inspiration to me.

Colorful Peacock Feather

18" x 24"
Acrylic

Who doesn't like peacock feathers? The encompass every color of the rainbow and are just plain beautiful to look at. I created this painting and gifted it to my cousin-in-law as a housewarming gift to her and her husband's new home.

Garden of Doubt

Garden of Doubt
(1) 16" x 20"
(2) 10" x 20"
Acrylic

This was an entertaining painting to create. This idea was unplanned, sporadic and very dark and mystical. I can't tell you a story about this piece because it means whatever you want it to mean to you. Enjoy the visual adventure.

Synesthesia

...one type of sensory stimulation that creates perception in another sense.

Synesthesia
(4) - 8"x10"
Acrylic

A condition in which one type of stimulation evokes the sensation of another, as when the hearing of a sound produces the visualization of a color. A sensation felt in one part of the body as a result of stimulus that is applied to another.

Divine Bough

Divine Bough
24"x 36"
Acrylic

This painting is my artistic interpretation of the bible verse 1 Corinthians 13: 4-7. Zoe came to me asking for me to interpret this verse so, here it is. Within this piece, there are several elements relating directly to the verse as well as personalized subjects. The main component of this piece is the Dogwood tree that is a not only the North Carolina state tree, but a symbol of a growing family and the wood used to create the cross on which Jesus Christ was crucified. This tree represents life, love and family. The key elements from the verse are displayed throughout the tree and highlighted with bold, bright colors. The flowers are scattered throughout the tree to portray liveliness and beauty.

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.”
